A clinical study is an investigation using human subjects designed to determine the effectiveness of investigational drugs, evaluating the safety and effectiveness of the drug for the treatment of specific diseases. The terms clinical trial and clinical study are synonymous.

 

The Bland Clinic Research Division conducts Phase III clinical studies. Phase III clinical studies involve the evaluation of investigational drugs at a therapeutic dose under the supervision of clinical research coordinators and a personal physician. Phase III study investigative drugs have been determined to have positive therapeutic benefits and are being evaluated with patients to access the effectiveness and safety of the drug.
